Crossing the Korea's first Undersea Tunnels and bridge that Links Busan ...

Crossing the Korea's first Underwater tunnel One of the biggest infrastructure in the world. linking Busan, Korea's largest port city, to the shipbuilding industries and famous for beaches destination Geoje Island.

Another thing that catches my attention about Korea is the
country's hi technology infrastructures. I salute whoever are
behind these not only brainy modern life changing
infrastructure. But also adding wonders to the beauty of nature.

This tunnel is locate in Gyeongsangnam - do linking the metropolitan city of  Busan, the country's second largest papulation and largest port city to Gojea Island, the ship building industry and where the country's famous beaches can be found. The project was completed on December 13, 2010. The tunnel is made up of 180 m (590 ft) segments constructed in a dry dock in Anjeon. Each segment was towed 35 kilometers (22 mi) by barges and was sunk into place.

To pass the tunnel, you must go through this tall gate in Gadeok.
I am guessing that the fees always depends upon the size of the vehicles and payment method used. Some uses high pass but we paid the amount of 10,000 won in cash. About less the $10.00 US dollars.

After passing the tall gate, travelers may have a choice to either pass or enter the Hyeugeasu (stop over resting place for travelers)
which we did not wanna missed. But unless you do come here often, who would not wanna go and take a peek of the beautiful view of this place. I'ts probably been my 5th time in here but I still get excited and really love stopping by.

The parking lot is free of charge with a very clean comfort room, coffee shops and snack bars. Also, the place is very informative and well involved about the travelers needs. If travelers happened to be new, they can learn about the place and would have an idea on what the Island has to offer.

We are talking about really involved that the resting place wants   you to have a great time resting, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Gadeok. I can actually stay here all day but this is just a resting place. It is indeed incredibly beautiful, but then the best is yet to come.

  1. I enjoyed the ride through the tunnel and over the bridges. They are amazing structures built by smart engineers. My husband is an engineer and he works designing highways and interstates. It is unbelievable how complex and complicated it is to build something that will stay up without falling down!
